　　Shanghai won the World Smart City Award at the 2023 Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC全球智慧城市大会) held in the city on Nov. 18. And it becomes the first city in China to receive the honour, according to a news report.
The SCEWC presented the World Smart City Awards to promote(促进) diversity(多样化), equality, safety, and collaboration(合作). Shanghai won the award at the SCEWC in 2023. Stockholm won the award in 2023.
